vampire diaries - the awakening
When I read the first chapter, I get the impression that the book is about a girl – Elena Gilbert, that all girls wanna be, and all boys wanna have. But there’s something missing in her life, which she has recently lost, and that’s her parents. The book captures me, because the girl seems to be a really confident, almost “bitchy” girl, and you instantly want to read more, just to see how she acts when she meets the new boy, and all her friends, that see her like queen of the school.
The book is also about a boy – Stefan Salvatore, who doesn’t appear to be like an ordinary boy. Or, in many ways he is, but in many ways, he’s not. And that’s really interesting, ‘cause for the first, you want to know WHAT he is, why he’s in Fell’s Church, second, he is really mysterious, doesn’t talk to anyone, and wears sunglasses in school, when he’s sitting in class, and third, because he doesn’t notice Elena, like all other boys do. Which is something that irritates Elena, A LOT.
Just after reading the first chapter, I want to read more, to find out what happens, and what has happened. Since I’ve seen the tv-series made after this book, my expectations are pretty high, especially because I love the show.
I really hope that the book will live up to the expectations, and that it won’t get boring, or too difficult to understand.

It really does seem like an exciting book! Why is it that we find vampires so intriguing to read about do you think? What is the name of the tv-show that is based on the novel? I really look forward to reading more about your thoughts and opinions about the book!
